The last leg of our trip was rainy, charming Amsterdam which seemed to validate what I’ve always said—you can’t be unhappy on a bike…or around thousands of them 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲. My favorite is the last moment ❤️

I lucked out with my in-laws who always put family at the center of their lives and have nine devoted grandchildren (then and now, slightly less wiggly) to show for it!
Weekend pruning revealed admirable avian architecture. Twigs, leaves, hydrangeas and bits of birch bark create a sturdy, ethereal and temporary home. Pretty alliums smell like onions so they’ll stay in the kitchen and other good stuff from the farmers market and a couple generations enjoying @tollefsonfamilyporkmn brats 🐖 (their condiments include micro greens)! 🌱
