Great waves, great community, killer vibes and making friends and memories for a lifetime.
Actually, so much fun to watch all of us compete with each other but still be hugging each other on the beach afterwards. Such a great community. Foiling could solve most of the worlds’s problems I think.

4th year of foil fest which is by far the biggest. The Rocks Foil Fest 2026 individuals Judging Criteria. For all the Prone Foilers who have signed up there is a WhatsApp group where all announcements are made. 7am Friday morning will be debriefing and 8am first heat in the water. Also FOIL ASSIST RIDERS please give space for the prone foilers throughout the weekend they will have priority as they don’t have motors. If we see crew not being considerate they will be disqualified for the foil assist event. Water etiquette is the number one priority for the weekend. Can’t wait to see you all foiling this weekend. Foilfest 2026 is on, May 8th till 10th! This is a prone foiling focused event. We will be holding this year’s event at South West Rocks Trial Bay and have options for the surrounding area. Also there will be a demo afternoon to try the latest foil gear in industry. As usual we will have prizes for each division and cash for the top riders of the event. Book camping in the trial bay campground. Can’t wait to see you there this year.

Best conditions, best camping, best crew, best comp format, best inspiration and froth. Just the best. To catch up with guys from all over Australia and share waves and stories and laughs with all these legends is just the best.

Wow what a big few weeks it’s been trying to hold and run Australia’s first surf foil event! It’s been a huge month of organising and working with amazing people to get this event off the ground.
I’ve been foiling for little over 5 years and would never had thought this sport would be where it is today. I thank all the crew I’ve meet over the years for being so passionate about this sport. Seems like it’s just the beginning.
We had over 70 competitors throughout the weekend which was more than I’d imagined. Thank you to all the riders who showed up and are helping this event and sport grow in an organic way. This is the start of something pretty big I feel. Thank you to all the sponsors that got behind us this year to make this event come to life. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped with judging and help run the event smoothly.
My biggest appreciation goes to @ransonlisa for doing the hard things on the back end which no one likes to do and no one sees. You’ve single handily made this community and event what it is today and we will be forever grateful for that!!
Personally I was a bit bummed seeing one female enter this year’s event. We have so many talented female rides in Australia. Also needing more of you to help grow the sport. My aim for next year is to hold a few female divisions. There’s a bunch of you out there that shred!! I want to put out my offering of a free lesson to females wanting to try foiling.
Stoked to take 2nd place in the individuals surf foil division, also 2nd in the teams event! Congratulations to all the riders that made the finals. Congratulations to @duke_cactuson for winning the main event surf foil division. I’m coming for you next year brother!!
