Shawn pulled some incredible pieces for an upcoming project — and we had to share a few. Bridge construction on the St. Johns. Tall ships at the docks. A palm-lined riverbank. A 1921 city map that we could look at for hours.

The summer before my junior year of college I found out there was a problem with my financial aid so I could not return to #DePauwUniversity …I was devastated. But good came from bad - I moved to Bloomington IN so that I could enroll at #IndianaUniversity for the spring semester. The job I got for the off semester is where I met my husband Bryan (he said he saw me walk through the doors to apply and he told the owners to hire me…he said he knew the second he saw me we were going to get married 🥰)
IU was awesome- I had enrolled in what I later learned was one of the best Art History programs in the world…it was an amazing experience. My only issue was I needed 4 semesters of foreign language…I was only there 3 semesters (plus summer sessions).
I walked graduation May of 1993 (I was taking that last French class that summer session…)
Then on May 26 a man broke into my apartment…
I wish there was another word for rape (just the word triggers me). But it is what happened.
I couldn’t stay in that apartment-Bryan and I decided to get married and move to Jacksonville where his sister lived. Good thing from bad happened once more- a year later we started. @fogleartconsulting -I don’t think there was a better city in the country for us to do so.
Yesterday, 32 years after that first commencement ceremony- I had the good fortune to be a graduate of the last class of the #lindaberrysteincollegeoffinearts at #JacksonvilleUniversity. I took my final required class this past semester (you rock Professor @madeleine_peck_wagner !!)
I wanted this because I worked hard for that degree and it was taken from me…but I know that even when the race is long that if you keep putting one foot in front of the other, just #keepgoing you will succeed…the finish line might be different than what you thought it would be, it may be a different path all together but #NeverQuit
We are making a lot of progress! New frame shop underway - samples are coming in, custom design table being nearing completion and equipment is being fine tuned. Glad to be all together under one roof again 😀🎉🎊

It’s been a minute since we’ve posted-but tonight is a great night to share! What an amazing evening @mocajax celebrating our local arts community and amazing artists. Over 1200 RSVPd for tonights opening and it was so great to see so many old friends and meet new artists too. Thrilled that the @fogleartconsulting team was able to help with the installation and some of the framing and printing. We are so glad to be a part of this community!
Installed a BIG piece yesterday (8’+ x 5’). French rug/tapestry sew mounted to custom fabric wrap with a bespoke frame. Turned out beautifully and we got to meet the NICEST customers!! #customframing #artintstallation #nocatee
