Celebrating our 14th anniversary with us on Tuesday, 5 May is Tom Godfrey from Barcelona’s FOCO!
Opened in 2022 in the heart of Gràcia, FOCO has quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about cocktail bars, known for its modern take on classics, technical precision, and laid-back neighbourhood energy. Named after Foreign Correspondents’ Clubs where people gathered to exchange ideas and stories, the bar has since earned international recognition, including No. 89 on The World’s 50 Best Bars extended list and Top 10 honours for Best International Cocktail Bar and Best International Bar Team at Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards 2025.
Co-Founder and Owner Tom Godfrey brings more than a decade of experience shaped by time in leading bars, including Red Light and Filthy XIII in Bristol, and Two Schmucks, Barcelona. At FOCO, his approach is rooted in precision and balance, reworking familiar classics into refined, modern expressions.

Alma na jeden večer otevřela celý dům a vytvořila prostor pro setkání barové komunity z různých částí světa. Program se přirozeně odehrával napříč patry. Degustace párovaná s koktejly, DJs, tetování i naši kamarádi za barem vytvořili z jednoho nedělního večera zážitek, na který budeme ještě dlouho vzpomínat.

The second edition of Bar Night is behind us.
For one evening, Alma opened up the entire house and created a space for the bar community from around the world to come together. The program naturally unfolded across the different floors—tastings paired with cocktails, DJs, tattoos, and our friends behind the bar all came together to turn a Sunday night into an experience we’ll remember for a long time.

The guest shift from Foco Bar at Opium Bar on April 5th was a huge success. The night was filled with great energy, a vibrant atmosphere, and an amazing crowd from start to finish.

The FOCO team presented four signature cocktails, each showcasing their creativity and bold approach to flavor. All four drinks were incredibly well received, earning great feedback from everyone who experienced them.
