Wow dreams do come true! What an honor to be sharing the Jay Pritzker pavilion stage at the 2025 Chicago Jazz festival with some of the most creative and talented musicians in the world.
Thank you @dawkins.ernest and @livethespiritresidency for the opportunity to share the stage with you!
I’m extremely grateful and fortunate to have had good friends and close family in the audience supporting me along this journey!
Till next time!
More good news coming soon.
Ps my dad Frank Morrison the Third is watching proudly in the audience 😅 I just so happen to be the fourth
Well would you look at that!! I’m proud and honored to be featured in the @chicagosuntimes !
What a pleasure to be representing Chicago alongside some of the most talented artists in the city. Shout out to @lil.g.finn and @_micahalec for their incredible leadership and musicianship.
Thanks to @miss_ethompson for the warm welcome and outstanding journalism! 🙏🏾
God is good.
I’m still coming down from the unbelievable experience of international Jazz day. I am truly blessed and honored to have been able to share the international stage with the greatest musicians in the world. Much gratitude to the one and only Ernest Dawkins for trusting me with this opportunity! Also a special thanks to the Herbie Hancock Institute of jazz. I’m at a loss for words. I’m feeling extremely full and overwhelmed with joy. I’ll be thinking about this forever.!!
(Shout out to Ben Lamar Gay on coronet and Ed Wilkerson on the Tenor sax!)
🚨Modular Mode🚨
This is the second clip from my last Julián and Friends at the @jazz_showcase presented by @fulcrumpoint for my curatorial residency. This was a modular set where we only played tunes where the form was interchangeable, and this clip shows the piece I spent the most time on, an uber modular, ever changing structure I called Modular Mode. I am so happy we were able to make this come to life. This is one of those ideas that I have had that I have not been sure could be realized but because of the dedication of these incredible musicians, we were able to bring life to this complicated improvisational landscape.

A High energy moment with @marquescarrollmusic and the Pamoja project at Andy’s jazz club. It’s always a pleasure to play alongside these amazing musicians.
