On May 8th, 1933, beer was legalized again in Florida after 14 years of Prohibition. Just like Florida. INVASIVE SPECIES 🐍 Foreign Extra Stout — roasty and rich, with Sumatran coffee on the nose and Baker’s chocolate on the palate. Some trails end at a trailhead. This one ends at a taproom. Hawthorne Trail is Gainesville’s beloved 16-mile rails-to-trails greenway winding from Boulware Springs through Paynes Prairie and into old Florida, past hardwood hammocks, prairie vistas, and the kind of scenery that makes you forget you’re still in a city. It also happens to end right in our backyard, which we consider one of the great perks of the job. HAWTHORNE TRAIL 🌿 Hazy IPA is dry-hopped with Krush, Nelson, Citra, and Sabro, with a pillowy mouthfeel, lingering sweetness, and a finish that tastes like peach gummies, watermelon, and a little cotton candy. It drinks like the golden hour looks on that trail. And while we’re at it, PISCES 🐟 West Coast IPA is back for a limited run. Galaxy hops doing a duet with an experimental variety that shows out as a pineapple bomb, with a little dankness and juicy strawberry to round it out. Classic west coast backbone.
