Alhamdulillah, after meeting the FM Grinder team during my time in Shanghai and our origin trip to Panama, it now feels right to welcome FM Grinders home as they arrive at The Espresso Lab - Roastery. Some journeys unfold through places, but they are shaped by people. In coffee, connections are built on shared values, trust, and a deep respect for the craft. Our relationship with FM Grinder has grown naturally through conversations, curiosity, and a shared belief in what thoughtful engineering can bring to the cup. The story began in October 2023, when Du Jianing first introduced FM Grinder to me during the National Brewers Cup Championship. From that first encounter, it was clear this was more than a machine. It was a feeling. A sense of care, clarity, and purpose behind every detail. @FM.Grinder was born from such a vision, led by @abuuu0217 , with the idea of creating a sewing machine for coffee. Quiet, precise, dependable, and always in service of the hands that use it. FM 120mm Conical Burr — Yoda120 The testing phase is officially completed. Special thanks to @gugu_cathy , sensory expert Catherine, Qinru Gu, for her full involvement throughout the entire Yoda120 testing process. We did 2 months of full particle testing and 1 month of re-module and compared testing, thanks to our manufacturing factory, we react fast according to the sensory results. A comparison photo with the Yoda100 conical burr was also taken this time, the difference in scale and structure speaks for itself. As the largest commercially available conical burr on the market, Yoda120 shows a very clear direction in light-roast espresso: strong sweetness support, a creamy, silky mouthfeel, and a harmonious integration of flavors in the cup. This is not about pushing parameters to extremes, but about achieving balance — where burr geometry, particle distribution, and sensory expression meet naturally. Sales and manufacturing are now moving forward step by step, and pre-orders are officially open.
