Here’s a glimpse of what it was like to be in the room for “Christmas in Boston 2”. I think this clip represents well what Matty did this past month, and why he did it. Ultimately this was all way bigger than us, and I hope you can feel that through the screen.
It’s been an honor and blessing to bare witness to the incredible artists of Boston this past month, so thank you all for allowing me to be in your space and capture these moments. To witness and be involved in a project such as this, 64 songs in 25 days with 80+ artists from in and around the city… it’s special beyond words.
Through this project, for me, one of the goals was/is to highlight the under appreciated artistry that exists here in Boston.
I started shooting shows in Boston back in 2018, and I’ve been invested in the local music scene and community here ever since.
Through CIB2 I got to meet so many new people, connect with old friends, and rediscover lost connections (it turns out Dion and I went to elementary school together 🥲).
Anyways, Matty you are a true inspiration, friend, community member, and magician. The work continues.

Sundance 2025!! So grateful for this experience and to my friends and family that helped make this possible, and to @cc_filmandmediastudies ❤️ the movies were amazing but getting to meet new people and make new friends and community was the best part!! And seeing some familiar ones too!!
Side note: how in the hell did “All That’s Left Of You” not win any awards?!!! @sundanceorg what up with that? Kinda fucked up!
Also grateful to meet the legend @aliresakhatami after a screening of “The Things You Kill” and hear him speak. 8 years in the works and he never compromised his vision, just doubled down on it. Truly inspiring.
I hope to be back here soon (hopefully with my own film one day)!
