Welcome to the Adventure Scholarship family Zoey Collins! Zoey Collins is a 14-year-old freeskier from Northern Utah. Although she hasn’t been skiing even close to her whole life, skiing is now her life. She is on the freeride team at Solitude Mountain resort and trains any chance she gets. She mostly skis at Solitude, but sometimes will go to other resorts for IFSA events or just to have a new adventure. When not skiing, she likes tumbling in her backyard, going camping, or swimming. She hopes to go to the Freeride world tour one day or do freeride as a college athlete. She is using her award to pay for her ski team and continue her journey in competitive freeride. Welcome to the Adventure Scholarship family Candice Caesar! Candice Caesar is a Houston, Texas native, Army veteran, and elite adaptive archer driven by faith, resilience, and purpose. After a service related accident in Germany left her with a traumatic brain injury and a spinal cord injury, she was told she would never walk again. She defied those expectations by completing 24 marathons, including four Boston Marathon finishes, and 100 half marathons across all 50 states and Washington D C. She later transitioned into triathlon before discovering archery during the COVID pandemic, where she found a new competitive passion. She is now the No. 1 ranked U.S. para archer and a 2023 Pan American Games medalist, earning bronze in the individual event and gold in the team event, along with multiple international medals. She is focused on qualifying for and winning gold at the 2028 Paralympic Games. She uses her journey to inspire others to overcome adversity and reach their potential and will be using her award to participate in the Para Cup Stage 4 in Santiago, Chile. Our partnership at Jersey Mikes took a giant step forward today with the posting of the Core Values Honor Roll for Jersey Mikes employees. The initial call to action resulted in 15 names being placed on the new Jersey Mikes Core Values Honor Roll plaque. Spearheaded by owner, Tom King, and regional manager, Marshall Brown, 13 employees have already participated and we expect another dozen or so in the coming weeks. The employees all realize that composing their core values is not something they are doing for Jersey Mikes or the Flyin Ryan foundation. They know they are investing in themselves and providing a mechanism toward off a lot of the negative noise with which we are all surrounded. They realize that core values provide a sense of responsibility and ownership when it comes to making all their daily decisions both large and small. They come to realize that it’s not what’s going on around you that counts; what really counts is how you react to what’s happening around you. They also realize that their core values statement is a useful tool to be included in their résumé as they navigate the future. Including core values in their résumé is a value added ingredient that can lift them out of the pack of applicants. The Flyin Ryan organization is grateful for enthusiasm and commitment with which Jersey Mikes has embraced our community partnership. The 13th of every month is Flyin Ryan day at Jersey Mikes. On the 13th of each month, 15% of revenues are directed to our foundation. In the first quarter that totaled $9,700. For a small organization like ours that is an incredibly valuable ingredient, which will help us to expand our outreach and impact more lives as we like to say: make the world a better place one person, one day, one event, one core value, one decision at a time. #jerseymikes #corevalues

Welcome to the Adventure Scholarship family Zack Wannawong! Zack is a wheelchair tennis athlete and former executive chef whose life and career have been defined by resilience, reinvention, and determination. Originally from Thailand, he moved to the United States at 16 and worked his way up from dishwasher to executive chef, developing discipline and creativity in high-pressure environments. In April 2024, he was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a life-threatening infection that resulted in the amputation of his right leg up to the hip. After months of recovery and learning to adapt to a new way of life, Wannawong returned to a childhood passion - tennis - which became a powerful path forward. Now competing in USTA tournaments and working toward ITF competition, he is dedicated to pushing his limits as an adaptive athlete while inspiring others facing adversity to persevere and redefine their futures. Driven by his role as a father and a desire to lead by example, Wannawong continues to build a story of strength, proving that even the most difficult setbacks can become the beginning of a new and meaningful journey. He is using his award to support his wheelchair tennis goals. Learn more about Zack at /scholar/zack-wannawong/ #flyinryan #corevalues #adventurescholarship

Welcome to the Adventure Scholarship family Brenda Findley! Brenda is a para climber on the 2026 USA Para Climbing Development Team. She began climbing after discovering adaptive sports, and it quickly became her passion. Climbing challenges her both physically and mentally, teaching her resilience, creativity, and confidence. As a para athlete, she has learned that progress often means forging her own path, not following the standard route. Climbing has given her a strong sense of identity and community, showing her that adaptive sports are about possibilities, not limitations. She is motivated to inspire others new to the adaptive lifestyle—encouraging them to try new things, take risks, and realize they belong in athletic spaces. Through sharing her para climbing journey, she hopes to empower others to discover their own capabilities, both on the climbing wall and in life. She is using her award to travel to the para climbing international competitions. Learn more about Brenda at /scholar/brenda-findley/ #flyinryan #corevalues #adventurescholarship
