A decade of building FLYING ART STUDIOS® 🦅
When I first started this business, I came straight out of film school. I was 23 years old and used most of the money I had to purchase a Sony A7SII from @teds_cameras at Chaddy 🤣
I was working at Adidas Originals as a sales assistant, standing on the shop floor selling superstars and dreaming about one day working for myself.
I thought… if I had spent the same amount of time working on my own business maybe one day I could not only match what I was getting paid, but potentially make even more. More than that, I could go to a job that I truly loved and work with other amazing people who believed in what I was doing.
I backed myself and my business partners at the time and we did whatever it took to keep going.
We worked our asses off, threw parties, filmed with brands from across the globe and what I’m most proud of (which I didn’t know that I would be at the time) is that we created a platform for other creatives to jump on board and learn along with us.
I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked with FLYING ART STUDIOS® across these last 10 years. Without the people, the business would not be where it is today.
I’m thankful to still be here, doing what I love and still putting on for the city and for other creatives looking for a way out.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for being here. This might be the hardest project I’ve ever worked on but it’s also been by far the most fulfilling.
At the end of the day, it’s about pushing creativity forward.
To prove that you can be an artist and support yourself.
What separates those who can and those who can’t is ultimately that belief in one’s self.
So to whoever is reading this, know that whatever you set your mind to, is possible. Just don’t stop until you get there.
Pain is Temporary, Film is Forever.
Much love,
David Trí Nguyen
