Itās been a long time comingā¦ šš¼š
Weāve been raising beef ranch to table since 2020. Since then, weāve grown as people, as a couple, as a business and as ranchers.
The end product of our beef now has improved drastically since 2020.
This week, we brought home our first ever USDA beef that we can sell retail! This means we can now offer beef bundles, premium reserve cuts, offal, sausages, ground beef and more!
We will still offer bulk beef a few times a year. However, our USDA beef is šÆ Black Angus with certified angus beef genetics. Which means proven for QUALITY.
We are so proud of our Black Angus beef and know the quality is there.
We strive to serve YOU the very best beef in Southern California.
This happened by:
ā Investing in the best Black Angus Genetics out there.
ā Doing endless research on feed, cattle nutrition and diet.
ā Creating the best living space possible and continuing to upgrade year after year.
ā Utilizing the best veterinary care and ensuring our animals are healthy.
ā Catering to our current customers and treating them like family.
If you have not already, subscribe to our email newsletter at flyingfranch.org. We will be updating you this week on our email list when we have beef available for preorder online and when/where pick up dates will occur!
Currently, we are just marveling over the hard work weāve gone through to make this dream a reality. We could literally cry.. (and I never cry!)
THANK YOU to all our loyal and amazing customers, friends and family that have been there for us every step of the way! We cannot make this happen without the love & support!

I knew this day would come, but I didnāt think it would come this past week.
I loved everything I did as an RVT and appreciated every pet and client I came in contact with.
What I never loved, was corporate world. Serving them was what I really always hated. I worked for a big veterinary corporation that focused solely on how much money you can make them and the well being of employees came last.
I knew the moment I started having kids, full time work was never going to happen until they were older. I want to be there for my kids as they grow while also having time to work at the hospital.
I left my hospital for a reproduction specialty after needing a change and not receiving a raise I asked for years in January 2022. 3 months later, my previous hospital begged me to come back with a PT position as a Supervisor RVT and a bigger raise. I couldnāt say no. Close to home, the hospital was a clean slate after half the team left and I was at a good place.
5 months after my hire date back, the regional manager came into the hospital and wanted a meeting with me. She blind sided me and told me they have to take my supervisor role away from me & possibly a pay cut. I made it very clear if they gave me a pay cut, Iām out.
$4/hr pay cut. BYE.
I felt like I was being used to help train employees for the hospital while it was in a new phase of bringing in new employees. As well, only two RVTs (myself as one of them) are able to perform advanced dentals.
This is beyond insulting. Itās an embarrassment to the corporation to even come to me 5 months down the road and deliver this news. I fought HARD. Talked to HR multiple times, my manager and medical
Director who really didnāt want me to leave.
It took me a moment to realize⦠this is supposed to happen.
As this was all unfolding, l was talking with my dad and out of now where, I said:
āif I quit my job tomorrow, can I make you and me more money in cattle if I manage one of your pastures?ā
My dad said āYeah! Screw that job!ā
Next day. I quit. On the spot.
A blessing in disguise. So, cheers to new adventures and opportunities along the way. Time to make dreams come to fruition. #LFG!

This morning started before the sun came up, getting a few steers ready to be processed for whole and half beef shares.
Itās a day that always carries a little bittersweet feeling...
raising these animals from birth to this moment creates a level of respect and gratitude thatās hard to explain. But seeing our hard work come full circle, knowing weāre able to provide families with high quality protein while continuing our familyās ranching legacy, makes it all worth it.
Today was also Sonnie's first time watching it all unfold, and honestly⦠it came naturally to her. She wanted to pet the steer when it was down, touch and understand everything happening, and watched the entire process with pure curiosity written across her face.
Itās never too early to teach our kids where their food comes from. Where their meat, fruits, and vegetables come from.. the hard work, care, and sacrifice behind every meal on the dinner table.
Agriculture isnāt just an industry to us, itās a way of life, and passing that understanding down to the next generation matters more than ever.

GRAZE at the Fields was a blast last night!
Flying F Ranch was there alongside our @sdcowbelles chatting all things cattle, grazing and beef!
Plus- our buddies at @viewpointbrewingco served up beef biltong which was a cured thinly sliced sirloin from our Black Angus beef. It was so good! I could have made an amazing pastrami style sandwich with it!
Thank you everyone who came by to say "hello!" And heard out our story behind the brand,

Thereās something special about the agriculture lifestyle that only those who live it truly understand.
Itās early mornings, hard work, dirty boots, tired hands, and a heart full of purpose. Itās knowing that every seed planted, every field cared for, and every harvest brought in helps feed families and build communities.
Agriculture is more than a job.. itās a way of life rooted in sacrifice, dedication, and love for the land.
Thatās why protecting agriculture matters so much. We have to stand up for our farmers, our ranchers, our fields, and the future generations who will carry this lifestyle forward. Without agriculture, there is no food, no growth, no future.
So if youāve ever felt connected to the land, admired the strength it takes, or wanted to be part of something real and meaningful.. join the lifestyle. Support agriculture, respect the people behind it, and help keep this way of life alive.
