This marks the finale of my three week artist residency of Mexican Jewelry & Silversmithing learning the traditional Oaxacan filigree technique in Mexico.
While the goal was silver - this residency also provided me with much more. Apart from mentoring, academic readings about art and the world, discovering the beautiful city of Oaxaca and its surroundings it gave me TIME. Time to slow down, to not be distracted by the every day rush, to think about my work, my goals, my future, and yet still live in the present and enjoy every moment. Feeling lucky to grow together with the craft! And Iโm not stopping! ๐
Follow up on my next silver expeditions and work in the coming months in colorful Mexico!!

Ever since I met a fellow jeweler two years ago in Pushkar, India and he told me about the silver town of Mexico - Taxco I made it my mission to go there one day.
Taxco is widely considered the world capital of silver, producing over 70% of Mexicos silver, and Mexico itself being the number one supplier of silver in the world.
This place is full of knowledge and history, and Iโm on a mission to take on more of this artisanal knowledge for the next month. Follow for my adventures!
