a camper at
@coachella today had asked, “how did
@flutterbyranch start?” — and it really had me reflecting on how far this journey has been
@flutterbyranch was inspired by my daughter, 10 years old at the time, three years ago. she had this grandeur idea of a butterfly tent, where her and her friends could simply have fun in it
as adults we tend to forget that we had childhood dreams at one point in our lives and brush it off
in a society where work and family is divided, this could be different… so we embraced the idea
at the beginning, we thought that farmers markets would be the best launching pad, where we could create awareness about the key roles of butterflies (as pollinators) to fruits and vegetables
reluctantly, it was met with rejection. about 30 farmers markets said no
three years later… in a full circle moment, we find ourselves at
@coachella launching our own farmer’s market, a weekend filled with over 60,000 campers
our activation features vendors with intent—
butterflies feed off the nectar from
@sugarmama.sugarcane /
@mo.onotreats which were extracted from our produce partners —
@packhouseazizfarms (a coachella valley local) that butterflies helped pollinate
the host plants inside our activation were provided by
@mibellanursery (also, a Coachella valley local) where a butterfly’s life cycle continues
if you happen to be around this weekend, we welcome you to our humble space. grab some juice, fruit, or find peace
thank you for having us
@slktgrp &
@goldenvoice @tbgc_inc — thank you for keeping a child’s dream alive 🧡
