About the intensive:
The Zee & Dalena Technique Intensive: When Form Meets Function is a specialized workshop focused on refining West Coast Swing (WCS) through a balance of aesthetic body lines and efficient partnering mechanics. You will explore the purpose of the fundamentals and techniques that you learn and how understanding the function can lead to a far more cohesive dance.
The intensive is designed to help dancers understand "the why" behind movements to elevate their connection and versatility.
The curriculum emphasizes:
Form: Developing better quality of movement, aesthetic lines and style.
Function: Mastering grounded movement, timing, and a "partnering mindset" to make WCS feel better, simple to understand and enjoyable.

Hajime Dance School is delighted to announce an exclusive, 3-part special workshop series in Tokyo featuring @weetzeyi & @fluffled from Singapore that will see them coming to Tokyo 3 times over the next 1 year.
Widely respected and deeply admired within the West Coast Swing world, Zee & Dalena are internationally recognized instructors loved by dancers both at home and abroad.
With nearly two decades of combined teaching experience and an instrumental role in cultivating one of Asia’s strongest WCS communities in Singapore, their contribution to the global dance scene has been truly remarkable.
It is an honor for Hajime Dance School to welcome them to Japan and provide this opportunity for the Japanese WCS community to learn from their knowledge, experience, and artistry.
