For me, my work is about so much more than movement. It’s about slowing down, listening in, and remembering that there is so much wisdom in the body. Yoga has taught me that it’s not just something I do on the mat but it’s a way of living, a way of coming back to myself, again and again. Not perfectly, but honestly. We live in a world that constantly pulls us out of the present moment.So much noise, stimulation, urgency, pressure.And over time, that disconnect can start to feel normal. These are a few simple practices I come back to when I need to regulate, slow down, and return to myself. Not because they fix everything instantly, but because they help me feel more grounded, more aware, and more connected to the moment I’m actually in. Yoga teaches us that presence is a practice. Not something we master once, but something we keep choosing again and again. In the way we breathe. In the way we eat. In the way we move through stress. In the way we meet silence. In the way we tend to ordinary moments. A more regulated life is not always built through big breakthroughs.Sometimes it’s built through small, conscious choices made consistently.
