Process photos in a nutshell: paint the things that are furthest away from you first and paint them thinly. Add elements that are closer to you on top using the fat over lean technique. Remember that warm colours come forwards and cool colours recede! Dark colours typically also come towards the viewer and lighter colours sit further back. Good luck š
