Once upon a time I dreamed about creating backdrops just like this. I poured over pictures, took countless lessons, and devoured every single resource that I could find. I was determined to be the best I could be at my job. I never take my skills for granted, and I am so blessed to have such an amazing team surrounding me. Skill isn’t by accident.

It’s practiced.
It’s tweaked.
It’s refined.

Hands-down, it is one of the most intimidating things for florists. #If you don’t have multiple mechanic options in your back pocket, chances are you will fail at some point due to circumstances beyond your control. Wind, blazing sun, various shaped structures, and various designs all require different mechanics. No two event should really look the same.

Mechanics…
I used to be super uncomfortable building structures and feeling like everything would just fall apart. That was before I knew that everyone builds things from scratch and it’s just a matter of the right mechanics!
100 degree heat, direct sun, wind and a narrow set up window- that’s what we were working with. Oh and bugs. Lots of bugs. 🐞
This structure was built with:
50 pound sand bags
Harlow stands
Chicken wire
Lomey dishes
Flower foam
