If you’ve been designing for a while and feel like you’re circling the same habits, this is for you. Design Directions isn’t about making impressive designs. It’s about understanding why a design works — and learning to see your own work clearly enough to keep improving. Every task gives you a specific way of directing proportions as a framework. Within that framework, you work in your own way, at your own skill level. These images are what past participants made for the ‘long task’ — designs with downward-directed proportions. Each one is completely different. Each one reflects someone growing. The next program starts 29 April (Sydney) and 30 April (Washington DC), in two time zones. Three months, five tasks, six live sessions with World Champion @markpampling . If you’ve been designing for a while and feel like you’re going in circles — this was made for you. Design Directions gives you a framework, then gets out of your way. You design at your own level. You get real feedback. You start to see your own work differently. These are past participants’ designs for one task: a ‘long design’ with proportions directed downward. Same brief. Completely personal results. Three months. Five tasks. Six live sessions with World Champion @markpampling . Two time zones — Sydney and Washington DC. Starts 29 April. Want to challenge your technical skills or try different mechanics? Designs with downward energy are a good place to start. They make you carefully consider just how you’re going to physically achieve what’s in your head or what’s on your sketchpad. Here are some examples of long designs from our Design Direction program … which starts again very soon. Join us?
