He brings an incredible ear for music and a doctorate of experience to our sound. Joey draws from a wide variety of styles and influences but favors progressive music like @periphery 🎶.
We’re happy to introduce Travis Bohanan of @deadmountaintalk to our new lineup! Travis is a highly skilled drummer and teacher. His progressive style reflects his admiration for unorthodox rhythms and time signatures.
Joe Guzman is a lifelong singer-songwriter with roots in Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas. The songs of Flow State had been floating around as ideas in different projects for the greater part of the last decade. Joe started Flow State in early 2018 with official endeavors starting in the summer of 2019. Joe is currently active as the lead singer and songwriter for the band. Joe draws from a wide range of influences and genres with notable influences in neo psychedelic music. Lyrically the songs of Flow State tend to represent ideas that go beyond the conventions of popular music, although they remain poetic and relevant.
Collin Deffner teamed up the band in the summer of 2019 and is one of two founding members still active with Flow State. Collin draws inspiration from progressive and hard rock which comes across strongly in his playing style. He often cites Justin Chancellor of @toolmusic as a major influence.
