I was just sliding through my gallery and found this awesome pic from one of our unplugged gigs last year. For me there was an additional challenge with this gig, that I just want to share with you:

The concert was on a friday night @bobs_oberhausen in Augsburg. The very next morning I had to participate in a whole-day-seminar in Bamberg. So almost right after the gig I headed back to Bamberg where I arrived around 3, just to be present in the Uni at 9 😅 I can tell this was not completely fun but it was worth it because the gig was awesome and in the exam of this course I achieved my first 1.0 grade ever 😍🙌

I think this story is a good example for the matter of dedication you need to put into a music-career. When I decided to go to Bamberg for studies, it was also a promise to the band to be present every time it is required - without complaining. Many times I need to put myself into second spot for the band and many times I feel alone with massive fomo-vibes, whenever the lads hanging around without me, staying in Bamberg. I guess, that’s the price to pay but I’m always willing to do because it is my big passion and I totally believe in this project 🤘❤️🔥

Yesterday we had the first rehearsal with the new fixed line up after many months of uncertainty and I’m completely hyped for everything about to come 🚀 Our new guitar player delivered so damn good, I never expected that 😱 At the end of the week we will introduce him to you on our @fulldevice social media channels 😍🔥 If you haven’t subscribed there yet - be ashamed 😂

What a great feeling to play the guitar again and make a little bit of singer-songwriter experience. This gig one week ago was something completely different, than everything I did the last couple of years with Full Device. To play our songs unplugged was actually challenging for me. Not only the fact, that I needed to learn the chords and some of the lead parts, also the style of singing was different. With the electric-guitars and the drumset behind me, energy is important and my singing sometimes just turns into screaming. Also inaccurate notes (which I never sing, for sure 😎) can be hidden in the noise. But in this case, it was required to bring as much emotion in the voice as possible and sing very accurate, clean notes. No room for decisions during singing, every note must be completely intentional. I hope, this feeling was transmitted somehow.
And of course, without Oli, this would not have been possible. Thank you for keeping my back on stage, Bro ♥️ This band is never a one man show.

„The world won’t change, so I have to“ - Reignite Fire @fulldevice

And sometimes this change can be as simple as a new haircut. Okay, to be honest, this new hairstyle was not a simple decision for me - I used to have long hair since I was sweet 16. But my hair was really broken and needed some kind of a „radical cure“ 😬
.
But with this new style, the perception of myself also changed. It is absolutely fascinating, how much energy and self-confidence this new look in the mirror is able to release. First I really hated it, but now I like it more and more. Maybe because it reminds me, that nothing needs to be as it is, only because of convention, habit or laziness. And when I look at my life now, I actually changed a lot over the last two years. Two years ago I quit my job and started university. In the beginning of 2020 (even before the pandemic hit), I started to do sports regularly again and gained weight from 70kg to 80kg (at 185cm) by building muscles. You can believe, I’m very proud of this achievement. As side effects I drink way less alcohol, improved my singing a lot and feel more strong (mentally and physically), balanced and confident than ever. So, I can absolutely admit: To quit my job and start university was the best decision ever made. That was the trigger for everything.

Usually I’m not that active on my private social media, because I don’t take myself too important. My aim with this is to motivate you for changes, if you feel unhappy, frustrated or out of energy. It’s never too late to restart and become the best version of yourself 💪😎
.
In the end; no worries… my hair will grow again and this is absolutely meant to be temporary. As I said, my hair was broken and so on… but never exclude something 😏
.

Corona fucks totally up! I miss the stage, I miss concerts, festivals, football games… basically everything I usually like to do in the summertime 😭 This shit is going on way to long now and I totally feel for all the people, facing serious financial issues, especially those who work with the event branch ♥️ Let’s keep up our awareness for the virus and keep up the social distancing 👊🏻 For all the people, who would not survive another lockdown! 💪🏻
We can do this only together! Together we are not “the second wave”! Together we will manage this crisis! 😎♥️
