Every Artist needs to understand this and re-align accordingly. It’s no news that Spotify is not paying Artists what’s due to them. Working more ‘strategically’ is the only solution.
1. Create a Community,
2. Collaborate with other Brands & Artists,
3. Have periodic shows with pockets of people who love your music,
4. Create Merch,
5. Find a GOOD PUBLISHING OUTFIT. Creating yours doesn’t make sense because you don’t have a Global structure that has the capacity to collect GLOBALLY,
6. Release singles more than you release albums,
7. Monetize your content etc
With the advent of AI Music, many artists will drop off. The tide has changed - Move with it and Master it.
