Chimney - Fire Pit 🪵🔥 2025
Coated stainless steel
55 x 55 x 240 cm
Industrial chimneys are rarely seen as sympathetic structures. With their large, often soot-stained shafts, they shape the image of industrial landscapes. As visible elements of production and combustion, they often rise 100 metres or more into the sky so that harmful gases are released high above the ground and do not affect people below. Where these chimneys are located and when or how long they emit smoke is not decided by the viewer, but by the industrial facilities they belong to.
With this chimney, however, we can decide where it stands and when it produces smoke. At a height of 2.4 metres, it also ensures that smoke from a campfire does not blow into one’s face. This allows attention to be focused either on the spectacle of the smoking mini chimney or on roasting marshmallows.
Special thanks to @mudersbach_friedewald for manufacturing 🔥
Straßenlaterne (Streetlight)
Unlike conventional streetlights, this one lets us decide for ourselves when it’s day or night. A foot switch replaces the timer, offering a sense of freedom within our self-designed environment.

Extinction / Salvation Glass
Until November 2, visitors entering at SPARC* are welcomed by the "Wave Glass" divider.
Post draws his inspiration from everyday objects, and this piece shows perfectly how overlooked, mass-produced shapes can gain new relevance and appreciation when reinterpreted through material and craft.
Wave Glass imitates the form of standard corrugated plastic roofing sheets, an industrial product typically associated with relatively low durability and mass production. Realised in glass, the form acquires a new aesthetic quality.
This transformation leads to a sculptural object that reflects on our perception of industrial forms, material culture, and the thin boundary between the ordinary and the precious.

◾️Announcing Florian Post @florian.post
Venice Design Biennial | Glass
Florian Post is a German designer and artist working across sculpture, furniture and object. He recently graduated from the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. His practice explores the tension between the familiar and the unfamiliar, drawing from everyday forms and objects.
Minimal gestures and clear forms are central to his process, inviting a re-examination of what we take for granted.
Wave Glass, on display at SPARC* Spazio Arte Contempornea until November 2, shows how overlooked, mass-produced shapes can gain new relevance and appreciation when reinterpreted through material and craft.

I’ve made this modular wall. Lightweight and easy to carry. 🧱
The wall can be extended by simply sliding the blocks together to create, divide or redefine spaces in an instant.

Under Falling Water (2023-2024)
Together with @jonasmariaried
It is loud.
A four square metre cabin on stilts, with a pointed roof and chimney, rises up under a rocky cliff. A long, steep ladder leads up from the riverbed to the round-arched entrance of the wooden hut.
Transparent plastic panels close the window openings in the side walls. A pipe leads from a rusty stove through the ceiling to the roof made of galvanised sheet metal. The floor and walls are wet. The stove is full of water which is seeping in through the chimney.
Everything vibrates.
The house stands under a waterfall in the Allgäu, a mountainous landscape near the German Alps. Under Falling Water" was exposed to the waterfall for almost a year. The video work shows the house over the course of the seasons and documents its transformation through water and ice.
The installation with the video work was created in 2023-2024 from a collaboration between the artist Jonas Maria Ried and designer Florian Post.
In order to build the house under the waterfall, they first had to divert it. With the help of climbing equipment and ladders, all the building materials and tools were brought to the remote location.
The installation will be completely dismantled in June 2024.

Part of the “Dear Plastic“ Collection
"Dear Plastic" celebrates the shapes, colors and narratives of the plastic world without using the controversial material.
In various pieces, the collection translates the formal language of plastic into self-confident objects.
Design elements from the fast-moving, disposable world of plastic are transformed into sculptural and high-quality products made from natural materials.
