Tara & Lorenzo in La Fortuna, Costa Rica.
An intimate day with their closest family and friends, surrounded by rainforest.
The afternoon started with rain during getting ready, very typical for La Fortuna, but it cleared right when it mattered most.
Their first look happened in the middle of the rainforest, quiet and private, just the two of them. Then we moved to a butterfly garden for the ceremony, relaxed and fully immersed in nature.
The reception took place at the house they rented, with private catering, live music, and a fire show to end the night. It was beautiful.
No big production, no pressure. Just real moments and real emotions in one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica.

With our immediate families by our sides, we went on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Costa Rica to say “I do.” The day was intimate, meaningful, and full of love - everything we could have asked for and more.

We started at Westin Reserva Conchal for getting ready and their first look — Westin has this little inner garden with tropical leaves everywhere and it was just perfect for them. Then we moved to Terrazas Flamingo for the ceremony, cocktails, and reception. Ocean breeze, golden light, good people… couldn’t ask for more.

Our work brings us joy on so many levels. And I feel like I’m bragging every time I tell people what we do. I don’t mean to boast, we’re just truly blessed.
We are outside in the fresh air every single day, sweating in the sunshine or sloshing in the rain. We plant the seeds. We watch the flowers grow. We design and create with these mystical living beings. We connect and collaborate with nature just as we connect and collaborate with the people who choose us to bring the blooms and the plants to adorn their momentous events.
On this occasion, we had the honor of designing and decorating the wedding of Savannah and Derick. This sweet couple spent an afternoon with us at our farm in Bijagua. They personally selected the flowers and foliage that they wanted to surround them as they exchanged vows. For the design we used not only cut flowers but a multitude of live plants and young fruit trees, all of which went home with the couple to be transplanted on their own land overlooking Lake Arenal. The landscape will hold the memories and magic of their wedding day for years to come.
We are fortunate to meet and make memories with lovely people on our journey as farmers and florists, spreading joy and plants.
A huge thank you to Blue Butterfly Events for bringing us all together and orchestrating this collaboration. You are a master curator of one of a kind weddings.
