my life has become cardboard & cardboard & boxes & vinyl & cardboard & boxes for the beginning of this year so far. our living room has turned into a warehouse. whenever someone asks me to do something, i picture the boxes in our living room waiting for me.
i’ll be honest, i don’t have a lot of positive memories associated with this record. but it’s been 10 years & i know it means something to other people so i wanted to do it right. it’s barely ever been in press & it’s always been hard to get.
i love how the colors came out. the green blend with pink splatter was an idea in my head & my ideas don’t always come out looking right, so i’m soooo excited about how it came out. limited vday press with a surprise pencil is so cute. black w white marble matches the album art perfectly. every order comes with stickers, exactly how i think mail order should be. with @floodofseventy2 ’s help, we distroed the indie exclusives very thoughtfully.
i did the obi strip & updated insert, and it brought me back to when i colorized & designed the layout of the record originally. i had no idea how to use photoshop but i needed to figure it out. that’s all this ever was. wanting to do something & figuring it out.
i didn’t want to become a short term record label. i have enough on my plate believeeeee me. but im truly addicted to diy shit & everything has been going so smoothly. i’m really proud of this whole project. i’ll shut up now!! 🐌💕

my commissions are closed for now! thank you to the people who have reached out to ask when they’ll open up again. the truth is, i never now how busy i’m going to be between tours until i actually get home. and this time, i have not had a moment to breathe 😮💨
i don’t know how i never shared this monster of a project on here.
it did the layout & art for Deep Sage. it was a mighty task that i put my blood (okay dramatic), sweat & tears into. we have just 4 copies left on tour & then then first press will sell out tomorrow. i love this thing & i love the way it looks.
a second pressing is in the works that i am very excited to see.
