A lot of people think being visible means wanting attention. It doesn’t. It means you’ve decided to stop hiding. To stop waiting until you feel “ready.” To stop playing small in rooms you’ve already outgrown. I see it all the time in my sessions. Women walk in a little unsure… a little guarded… And then something shifts. Not because I magically give them confidence— but because they allow themselves to be seen. Fully. Honestly. Powerfully. And that changes everything. Because visibility isn’t about being looked at. It’s about standing in your power and letting the right people find you there. #florblakephoto #VisibilityWithPurpose #personalbrandingphotographer #VisibilityMatters #ceomindset

So you know I am super duper married to my beautiful wife @IleaGuadalupeBlake . And you also know that during our time together we followed the progression of same sex marriage, we joke that we got married four times, did all the things and at every step we did some sort of celebration, 2 actual weddings with receptions and two small lunches. Well, back in December 2025 was the 15th anniversary of our first wedding, our fifth ceremony and wedding reception, haha! This time around it was so special because our family and friends who had not made it to the first four, were able to join us, our parents, cousins, siblings, nephew, and of course, the frequent flyers who have been in almost all of them LOL, because they love a good party, and we throw a good party LOL. Special thanks to everybody that made this possible: @ivanperezlegolas and @luisrosariorastrana from VanDeko who created the most beautiful ceremony site and reception hall anybody could ask for. @myrnacuevasofficial who married us and created a ceremony that still makes me cry, laugh, smile and just be happy. My mother Angelita and her business @angelitapereyraaltacostura who with her team of magicians made everybody in our wedding party and some of the guests look spectacular. Issa Loraine for the greatest and most delicious rehearsal dinner ever! Ruthelyn Rivera from @serbellalatina who did our hair and makeup and left us feeling like queens. And to @byyarirey who did hair and makeup for el SĂşper SĂŠquito. And OF COURSE, THANK YOU to the SĂşper SĂŠquito who made this day pure perfection: Yenny L de Leon, Jose Pepe Guadalupe, Karla M Ojeda, Nolita Blake, Martinez Alms, Myriam Elisa, Juan Carlos Almodovar, ImayrĂn Padua Sotomayor, Myrna Cuevas. Alberto Rosario Pastrana, IvĂĄn PĂŠrez, Issa Loraine, Jocelis Rosario, Jan Guadalupe y Lynnie Feliciano! We felt SO LOVED. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Here's a highlight reel of what that day was for us and I am so appreciative of how beautiful it turned out. Thank you to @dariencabrerafilms , who created this beautiful video and is everything I wanted and more! #quinceario #supersequito #ileayflor #loveislove #florblakephoto

Rebecca Damon. Joy. Leadership. And a force behind the scenes shaping the future of the industry. I photographed Rebecca at the NYWIFT Muse Portrait Studio, and from the moment she stepped in—she was beaming. Warm. Engaging. Fully present. The kind of energy that makes you feel both seen and grounded at the same time. As SAG-AFTRA’s Chief Labor Policy Officer and New York Local Executive Director, Rebecca is a fierce advocate for workers’ rights—leading conversations around AI, protecting performers, and strengthening the voices of creatives in a rapidly evolving industry. Honored with the Made in NY Award, her work highlights the impact of film and television beyond the screen—supporting jobs, families, and entire communities across New York. And in front of my camera? Joy. Confidence. Leadership you can feel. A reminder that power doesn’t always have to be serious—it can be warm, radiant, and deeply human. — Muse: @rebeccadamon 📸 Portrait by @flor_blake ✨ @NYWIFT Muse Awards #rebeccadamon #nywift #nywiftmuse #museportraitstudio #florblakephoto

Joy Reid. Her name says it all. I photographed Joy at the NYWIFT Muse Portrait Studio, and from the moment she stepped in… the energy shifted. Joyful. Radiant. Magnetic. Owning every inch of that set—and looking absolutely fabulous while doing it. I had photographed her at an event last year, so seeing her again—and this time getting to create a full portrait of her—felt like such a beautiful, full-circle moment. An award-winning journalist, author, and political commentator, Joy has shaped national conversations through her work on The ReidOut and beyond. As the recipient of NYWIFT’s Enid Roth Award for Excellence in Journalism, her voice continues to inform, challenge, and inspire. And I made sure to thank her—for the work she does, for her voice, and for the conversations she continues to lead. It’s needed. It matters. And in front of my camera? Pure light. Pure presence. Pure joy. This is what it looks like when someone fully owns who they are. Audra McDonald. Presence. Power. And a level of artistry that is simply unmatched. I photographed Audra at the NYWIFT Muse Portrait Studio, and from the moment she stepped in… it was magic. Excited. Joyful. Fully present. Giving me every pose, every look, every bit of light. And yes—I had the best time photographing this icon. A six-time Tony Award winner, and the most decorated performer in Tony history, Audra’s impact spans Broadway, opera, television, and music. Her voice, her craft, her storytelling… all extraordinary. But what stayed with me most was her energy. Warm. Radiant. Generous. The kind of presence that fills a room without needing to try. This is what true artistry looks like. Jamie Brewer. Joy. Presence. And a force for change you can feel the moment she walks in. I photographed Jamie at the NYWIFT Muse Portrait Studio, where her energy lit up the entire space. An award-winning actress, model, and disability-rights advocate, her impact extends far beyond the screen. From American Horror Story to making history as the first model with Down syndrome to walk at New York Fashion Week, she continues to expand what representation looks like—boldly, beautifully, and unapologetically. And in front of my camera? Pure light. Fun. Energetic. Radiant. (And that dress… absolutely stunning.) As the recipient of the Loreen Arbus Changemaker Award, Jamie reminds us that visibility matters—and that showing up fully as yourself can shift entire industries. This is what joy in motion looks like. Muse: @itsmemsjamiebrewer 📸 Portrait by @florblake ✨ NYWIFT Muse Awards @nywift #jamiebrewer #nywift #nywiftmuse #museportraitstudio #florblakephoto

Patricia Cardoso. Quiet power. Groundbreaking vision. And storytelling that makes you feel seen. Photographed at the NYWIFT Muse Portrait Studio, Patricia is the award-winning director behind Real Women Have Curves—a film that, for so many of us, was more than a movie… it was a mirror. I remember watching it and feeling seen in a way that stayed with me. And meeting her in person? The same energy. Kind, warm, grounded… with a quiet strength that speaks volumes. As the recipient of NYWIFT’s Nancy Malone Directing Award, Patricia’s work has not only opened doors—it has expanded what’s possible for who gets to be seen, heard, and celebrated on screen. From Sundance to the Library of Congress National Film Registry, her legacy is undeniable. This is what impact looks like. Jane Raab. Legacy. Leadership. And a career that has shaped the stories we know and love. Photographed at the NYWIFT Muse Portrait Studio, Jane is a powerhouse producer whose work spans some of television’s most iconic series—from Sex and the City to Blue Bloods to Only Murders in the Building. A DGA and PGA Award–winning producer, her impact behind the scenes has helped define generations of storytelling, bringing bold, unforgettable characters and narratives to life. And beyond the credits… she was an absolute joy to photograph. Warm, kind, and grounded in a way that makes her presence just as powerful as her work. This is what legacy looks like.
