Feeling really lucky to be surrounded by talented, driven people who constantly inspire me. Thank you to everyone who came through and shared the day with us. Huge thank you to Les Deux and Westerlind for bringing such a great community together and allowing us to be part of it. @fittingroom_13 @floor13studio And to everyone who couldn’t make it…all good, there will be more moments like this ahead. More community. More good people. More celebrations. Thanks @lesdeux for the images and memories made.

Grateful for this one. To be trusted with the lead story in MR Magazine is something I don’t take lightly. As an immigrant from the Philippines, learning English as a second language, and going through the process of building a life here in the U.S., this feels like a full circle moment. To now be able to write and share my perspective on fashion, retail, and the brands I believe in… I don’t take that for granted. This piece focuses on how collaboration is shaping retail today, featuring projects from Mark Avery x CAT and Canoe Club x orSlow. Big thank you to retailers Aiken (Berkeley, CA); Good Neighbor (Indianapolis, IN); and Fore & Wharf (Portland, ME) for sharing their insight and helping bring this story to life. Appreciate MR for the opportunity and the trust. Read Full Article: /from-product-to-moment-we-asked-three-retailers-across-the-u-s-how-collaboration-is-shaping-retail/

Been a little behind on this one… I’ve been working with our team on a lot behind the scenes lately(our tradeshow, the agency, launching fitting room 13…), so Small Business Saturday came and went quick this week. That said, I still wanted to spotlight a few…. So Small Business Monday it is… 🫣 Here are 4 stores I visited and 4 brands I’ve been spending time with lately. These are all brands I’ve personally worn, and I can honestly speak to the comfort, the necessity, and the overall style they bring into the mix. And the stores… these are the kinds of independent retailers that are worth paying attention to. The ones still doing it right. Strong assortments, real relationships, and a clear point of view. If you’re near any of these, stop in. If you’re in the market for something new, take a look at these brands. More coming soon as I get back into the rhythm. Blame it on my ADHD and running a one-man learning as i go, social team over here 😅🫣🤓

A great day shooting the new Made in Japan Boro Patchwork collection in London today with our good friend @peterkinnaird who was over from Los Angeles. We’ve had a lot of requests for when these will be available and we are hoping to get them live this weekend. Thanks for your patience Big Love Ivy E 🙏 #ivyellissocks #madeinjapan

#SmallBusinessSaturday felt like a good excuse to start something new. Calling this 4 × 4. Four retailers I respect. Four brands worth knowing. Just a small effort on my end to help spotlight the independent stores and the brands that make this industry interesting. If you’re shopping this weekend, start here. #smallbusinessowner #emergingbrands #independentretailer #wholesaleapparel

79 days on the road. Moving between cities, showrooms, retail floors, long drives and early flights. Some personal moments, but mostly work. The people, the stores, the brands and designers that keep this industry moving forward. I tried to highlight and tag many of the retailers, designers, and brands I’m lucky to spend time with. A lot of them are small businesses doing great things, and they deserve our support and attention. I hope I did a little justice to some of the stores and brands I’ve come to respect and appreciate over these past few months. More editorials, stories and links coming soon. Still building.

This hardly covers all of the imagery and clips I have on my Real moodboard, but these are the hits. After we wrapped up July’s show last year, we were already at the drawing board with theme ideas for the next one in January. Knowing that brands will be showing their AW26 collections, Brad crystalized the idea of Robert Frost’s poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay” and its significance in The Outsiders novel and film. I remember my reaction: “say less.” + 🤩🏃‍♀️ I wanted to visualize the idea of how nothing gold can stay, but it can delevop a rich patina. From aged leather to faded denim to broken-in canvas – these have textures and colors that embody the passage of time. And using the “fashion” of the Greasers & Socs as a foundation, it made for some great assets. While deep diving into the world of the film – behind the scenes, development, production, etc. – I saw the playfulness, trust and camaraderie between the cast & crew. It had me reflecting on how it feels to work with Floor13. The theme of the trade show started to feel like a representation of the team behind the show itself. This was a very special show to work on and looking back, it was definitely a favorite. Cheers, gents – stay gold – love y’all. sources: Robert Frost (1923) THIRTEEN, PBS, New York Public Media S.E.
