My first exhibition in the United States, Bonus Tracks, is now on view at @artatmcc Marfa Country Clinic through May 31.
I began this series 26 years ago while studying at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, painting album covers as fragments of music history that shaped how we see and remember sound.
These works revisit a time when music still had a physical presence, somewhere between object, image, and memory.

When in high school one of my favorite summer escapes was visiting the Storm King art center those giant bright red constructions by Mark di Suvero were imprinted in my heart. In this painting and paper sculpture Ive created is an example of how that foundational memory has become support structure that holds up thoughts of cubism, color theory and abstraction.
One of the red structural supports I let run past the top as an example of not being contained but instead as a line that will continue on.
