Can’t wait to be heading back to Hop City this weekend! 🔥
A special one for us, it was the first festival we ever poured at a few years back, so coming back every year never gets old.
Big love to the team @northernmonk for having us again. Leeds, see you soon.

🌴 @iriejungle 2026 🌴
Back in Canterbury, a bit broken, in the best way, after a few days out in Miami.
Irie Jungle really is something else. It doesn’t feel like a festival so much as a bunch of good people coming together over world-class beer. No fuss, no posturing, just a great atmosphere.
Pouring our beers out there, alongside some of the best doing it, and seeing people genuinely get what we’re about… that means everything. It’s the whole reason Floc. exists.
Big thanks to everyone who came by for a beer or a chat and massive love to the team @trippinganimalsbrewing for having us over again.
This is it for us, good people, simple things, and beer doing what it’s meant to do.
See you again soon 🌴🍻

BEAK X FLOC: THREADS ’26
Two beers. One glass. Your call.
This pillowy soft NZ IPA created with our good friends at @flocbrewing is part of an ongoing project where we create two singular but complementary beers designed to be coalesced in the same glass. Our half of the collab is saturated in Nelson Sauvin and NZ Cascade, giving flavours of pink grapefruit, guava and weed. Enjoy on its own, or for the full 5D experience, blend with Floc’s Threads NZ edition showcasing Motueka and Nectaron. Available on the web-store now as well as in a mixed pack with Floc’s version!
SILK SUN ☀️

We threw the doors open on Thursday… and what a start it’s been.
No soft launch, no quiet test run, the pub was finally ready, so we opened…and you showed up. In numbers. Thank you.
Our vision for The Lifeboat was simple: create a proper, traditional boozer with a modern offering. A place to get cosy, catch up with friends, meet new people, and enjoy a pint in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment the doors opened, the pub has been full of life; laughter, conversation, and the kind of community spirit every great local needs.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s already popped in, spread the word, and supported our new little venture. It genuinely means the world.
We’re taking a couple of days to catch our breath, regroup, and get ready for round two…
We’ll be back open Wednesday from 4pm (current opening hours in the bio).
PS: apologies for the lack of coat hooks, they’re coming, we promise. 😜
Cheers, Team Floc. 😘
Back in December we welcomed Ben & Jack from the awesome @rivingtonbrewco to brew something special for our first release of the year.
It’s become something of a tradition for them to come to Canterbury before Christmas, catch up, and for us to spend some time with our brewery friends with whom we’ve collaborated more than anyone else. Many beers were had during the day, of course 😜
WOW - 6.6% DDH IPA brewed with @freestylehops Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka & Peacharine is available now on the web shop, across the UK this week at your favourite watering holes, pouring & in cans @flocbrewingtaproom from today and @floc_folkestone from Saturday.
Enjoy 😘
We’re coming home.
Two pop-up bars. One festival. Three near-misses on other units. And finally… this one.
If 2026 really is the year of the pub, we’re very much here for it.
We’ve been searching for the right Margate venue for years; ever since that first pop-up on Marine Drive, when we could only brew enough beer for a single 20-litre keg a day. More often than not, it was gone within the hour, enthusiastically “quality controlled” by some enthusiastic drinkers.
The Lifeboat feels different. Special. It’s the first place many of us ever had a pint in Margate. Just around the corner from the seafront on Market Street, in a building that’s been all sorts of things since 1710. Small by nature. Cosy by design.
Our aim is simple: a proper pub. A boozer, if you will. Great beer on keg and cask, a thoughtful wine list, cocktails done properly, and service that makes you want to stay for “just one more”. A place that’s all roaring fire and refuge in winter, and a welcome escape from the summer crowds when Margate is in full swing.
We bloody love pubs and with the help of Simon @greenpencil3d who also designed our taproom bar, the plans are firmly in place to make The Lifeboat somewhere we’d choose to drink ourselves. Because, first and foremost, that’s exactly what we are: enthusiastic pub-goers.
There’ll be capacity for around 60 to start, with plans to add another 20 or so later in the year when the current kitchen becomes a snug. One step at a time.
We’ll keep you posted as things progress. Follow along at @floc_thelifeboatmargate to see how it’s all coming together.
Our opening dream? Mid to late February. Watch this space 👀
Cheers!
Team Floc. 🍻

Taproom Survey Responses 👀
At the end of last year, we asked you a few honest questions about the taproom and 113 of you absolute legends took the time to reply. Thank you 💛
The taproom is the beating heart of Floc. It’s where the beer meets the people. And while we’re incredibly proud of it, there’s always room to do better.
So…
You spoke. We listened. Here’s what you said 👇
The big one first…
Customer satisfaction landed at 4.92 / 5 🤯
Genuinely blown away.
What You Love ❤️
🍺 Beer quality & variety
“Always great beers.”
“Best craft selection around.”
“Love the rotating taps.”
Our highest-scoring category and the one closest to our hearts. A lot of our non-hazy beers are taproom or bar exclusives, and curating the guest list alongside our own is something we really pride ourselves on. This one means a lot 🍻
✨ Atmosphere & vibe
“Relaxed and friendly vibe.”
“Perfect mix of locals and visitors.”
We open the doors… but YOU bring the vibe. When it’s buzzing, there’s something pretty special about an industrial estate pub full of good people.
👋 Staff & service
“Staff are always friendly and helpful.”
“Everyone is welcoming and knowledgeable.”
We’re incredibly lucky to have the team we do. The love here is a real testament to how hard they work.
Where We Can Do Better 👀
🍕 Food options / pop-ups
You’d love more choice (including vegan options).
Weekly specials are here to stay, pop-ups will continue when we can and more vegan options are coming soon. 🌱
🪑 Comfort
Your backs have spoken 👀
Permanent seating with backs are incoming, plus the glazed curtain wall is finally planned for Q3. No excuses not to stay longer 😜
💳 Loyalty / locals
Good news: this one’s already live 👀
Our loyalty scheme launched last November - 700+ signed up, live in the taproom & webshop, and coming to Folkestone very soon.
That’s it for now.
Thanks for showing up, supporting us, and helping shape what Floc. becomes next.
This taproom = yours 🍻
Got an idea? Pop it in the comments below👇 or slide into our dm’s. We’re always listening (and read them all 👀)
Here’s to 2026 and beyond 🍺
Cheers,
Team Floc. 😘
