Melissa ( @ritual.revival ) is a float enthusiast and an all-around amazing human.
In this short feature video, Melissa opens up about her initial hesitations around floating, what surprised her during her first few sessions, and how float therapy has grown into an essential part of her self-care and wellness lifestyle.
What we love about her story is how honest it is.
She didn’t come in expecting a breakthrough — just hoping for a pause. Instead, she found a practice that helps her reset, reconnect, and show up more fully in her life.
If you’ve ever been curious about float therapy but weren’t quite sure what to expect, Melissa will put you at ease. 🎥@kentcolony

🌊Already wiped from tabling at the NW Event Show this week (we had a blast!) and dealing with a handful of emergent issues cropping up to start the season, I was praying for a peaceful shift on Friday to coast into the weekend.
Instead....I arrive at South Lake Union at 4 PM and my staff is already in the middle of it. A guest had left their shower running. Through the entire float. Wand spraying water across the room into the pump room. Water under the float cabin. Water in places where water is not supposed to be. I’ve seen a lot of things at the float studios, but this was a new one.
Towels first. Then the squeegee. Then the shop-vac. Then I’m climbing on top of the tank, arm extended over the side, vacuuming puddled water off the floor on the far side...impossible to reach otherwise.
Three hours later, fully dry. Dehumidifier running overnight for good measure.
“Must be a chill job, owning a float business,” they say...
Want us to share more BTS fun? Let us know!
