- 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝑾𝑯𝒀: Floating You was born through the 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒑𝒔𝒆 of my ‘old’ identity. The identity the system gave me, not my soul’s one. ❌ We are talking about being burnt out from corporate life: 10 years in the international music industry. Personal life crisis, a lot of painful endings, physical sickness. 2018 felt like an end point in so many ways. 🚫Society had this playbook of expectations: stay in my stable job, keep the long-term relationship, and eventually settle down. But I felt like I was drowning under the weight of those “shoulds.” 💭 Being mix-raced, I had a constant pull towards the other side of the world. I was born in Germany, but desperately dreaming of island life in Sri Lanka, the homeland of my father. 🙏🏽As a little girl, I loved seeing my dad praying to the Hindu God Krishna, the ‘all attractive’, he stands for ominous Love all the time and everywhere. 🛕Today, I do that too. 🏃🏽‍♀️Once I managed to step out, I embarked on a long healing and self discovery journey - and I’m still on it, at this present day. As once the awareness to self & surroundings expands, there is no looking back. It always continues.

⚒️ All the tools & practices we share at Floating You are coming from this ‘8 years ride to self’. 💫 A journey through Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Morocco - very important places of my little ‘pilgrimage’. 🌊 Through Surfing, Yoga (the indian way!), Meditation, Breathwork, Sacred Sound Frequency, Somatic’s, Self Development, Recreational Ceremonies & more - I managed to strip down many layers that society gave me. 🪐What’s left is a body, spirit and purpose. - 10 years ago, I was deep in the music industry. Travelling the world, working with incredible artists, constantly moving from one thing to the next. From the outside, it looked exciting. And in many ways, it was & Ofcourse I also learned a lot. But somewhere in between, I realised I had slowly lost connection to myself. The deeper I got into that world, the further away I felt from who I really was — and from what I was truly meant to do here 🌎 For a long time, success was something I measured through work, achievement, approval and how things looked from the outside. It took time to unlearn that. A lot of time. And even more time to come back to myself again. If I could send a message to my younger self, it would be this: It’s your story, girl. Your book 📕 ! You can go through a plot twist whenever you want. You are allowed to change. You are allowed to choose differently. And self-trust will always be one of your greatest assets 🤍 Who feels this ?? ✨

COMM - UNITY 🫂 means a lot. means everything. Do you relate when I share that the older we get the ‚harder‘ it is to authentically connect ? And with that I mean, to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. It’s not our ‚masks‘ that let us connect to each other deeply, it’s the vulnerability that unites. For some reason we all grow up thinking we need to proof how good & great we are. And only if we are, we are seen and respected and LOVED.
