Four years ago today I lost my Granny: Sara Ellen Glenn. It’s only fitting she passed on Valentine’s Day because she had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever known. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. Think about shelling peas with her on her porch in Mississippi or her teaching me how to cook without a recipe or measurements (how it’s done in the South). She taught me a lot about being a Southern woman and about being a kind person. I’m forever grateful for her and miss her more than anything in the world Happy Valentine’s Granny. I love you. 💕

Today was a magical day. My first NYC Marathon. My 2nd ever marathon and probably my last. It was hard and heartfelt, it was driven by dark times and necessary as a means of letting go. I am unbelievably grateful for those supporting me in this journey. My wonderful husband @brameaka with unwavering support and homemade lasagne. My amazing friends and students who cheered me on and off the course...and my dear friend and coach @migliaccioe who was with me every step of the way. I love you. You are my ❤️.

We’ll break down technique, strength-building, and all the silly playfulness and steady mindfulness that make hand-balancing such a thrill, jam-packed into an evening of lab time.
