@big_barn_little_farm is a dream venue and we're so stoked to be back for 2026! Building on the success of last year, we're excited to once again present two formats:
- Afternoon on the Outdoor Stage - A selection of sing-songers in the sunshine 🌞
- Evening in the Barn - A bevy of bands to rock the night away 🎸
We will have passes available for each session, or the whole day. Full lineup and pricing coming soon.

The goal of this festival has always been to bring a great event to the community. But it’s a lot of work to do that, and two years ago, we were at the end of our DIY ropes. We didn’t know how local businesses might respond when we started reaching out for help. When we started hearing back from people, not only were they on board, they were enthusiastically on board! The community buy in means so much to us.
It’s clear now we can’t do it alone, and we wouldn’t be here without their support. Consider supporting these businesses, and let them know thanks for supporting Floatchella!

W.H.S.F will be making their Floatchella debut and will be serving up @shandaph oysters! Cash or card.

🍍JAKE NICOLL🍍
Canadian indie folk songwriter and producer Jake Nicoll began writing and recording music with his twin brother Billy Nicoll on their Windows 95 PC in 2003. His music is thoughtful and introspective, yet always tinged with a playful sense of experimentation. As Sandy May of the Overcast aptly put it: "With each album released Nicoll has explored a different facet of music, and the music making process, analytically taking it apart, holding it up to the light, and putting it back together to create something distinctly his."

The Latest Scheme is an east coast folk trio that honed their sound in the wee-hours of late night shed parties. Joyful and upbeat, earnest and introspective, the trio has struck the rare balance that elevates all parts while always serving the song first.

🌼 LAURA MERRIMEN
Laura Merrimen is an old soul who wears her Americana drenched heart on her sleeve. Armed with an electrified 40’s Harmony Commander and a Fender Princeton Tweed copy her Dad built, she infuses a blend of rock n roll know-how, haunting harmonica and pairs it with catchy pop soul and blues melodies and what is produced is a smokey trip down memory lane. A veteran of the East Coast music scene, at Floatchella, the multi-instrumentalist, producer and dabbling engineer will be joined by her band The Lap Dogs; Jake Ballard, Ben Matthews and Adam Coveyduc.
🌸 LEN O’NEILL
Len O’Neill is a singer-songwriter from St. John’s, Newfoundland, who first made his mark playing guitar and bass in local rock bands. He went on to front Green & Gold, an award-winning indie group that released two albums and toured the East Coast. These days, Len’s focus is on lyric-driven solo work that explores themes like ambition, interpersonal relationships, and personal growth.

Super stoked to be hosting and playing a @floatchellaforever warm up show, Thursday July 3rd at @thesanctuaryartscentre . I've been spending lots of time with Jake and Andrea's music lately and it's really lovely stuff. Neal and I are going to strip back some Daveband tunes, some Scheme tunes, and a choice cover or two to round out a really lovely evening in ye olde church basement. Maybe I'll track down finger sandwiches!

🌻 GARRETT MASON
Garrett Mason is an acclaimed and award winning blues artist from Nova Scotia who is often regarded as Canada’s greatest guitar player. His unique blend of blues, soul, country, rock n roll, & psych, has left audiences across the country floored and wanting more.
🌾 ANDREA CORMIER
Raised along the coast of small town New Brunswick, Andrea Cormier is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Halifax. In 2020, Andrea released her first solo album Creatures of Illusion and recently released a bilingual self-titled EP in October 2024. With influences like Mazzy Star, Weyes Blood and Beach House, her music weaves together ethereal dream pop and folk.
