The animation stays short on purpose: just enough motion to explain the setup clearly and keep the focus on the practical workflow.
A small pool scene can already teach the important parts: clean geometry, proper scale, and a simulation resolution that supports the details. ✨💧

FLIP Fluids Development Preview: UVW Textures on the Fluid Surface in Blender
We applied the new UVW texture workflow directly to the fluid_surface — this time using Superhive Spring Sale media as the texture. 💧
In the previous preview, we showed stable texture behavior on particles. This time, the texture is applied to the fluid_surface instead. Using the new UVW attribute, the texture can stay connected to the surface and deform with the fluid motion. ⚙️
This is still in development and planned for one of the upcoming updates. 🔧

FLIP Fluids Development Preview: UVW Attribute for Stable Particle Textures
We are working on a new particle attribute called UVW to place stable textures on calm fluid surfaces. 💧
short video comes from the current development of the FLIP Fluids Addon for Blender.
With the new UVW attribute, textures can be placed on calm particle areas while staying visually stable. The texture can also be moved, and when the particles shift, the texture deforms with that motion. ⚙️
This is still in progress and planned for one of the upcoming updates. 🔧

Liquid Sand in Blender — Revision 9 of our FLIP Fluids Preset (WIP)
Revision 9 is bringing this Liquid Sand preset steadily closer to completion.
At this stage, one of the remaining issues is the changing topology in the ground, which is still causing simulation instability.
We have already pushed the sand substrate further so it reacts more cleanly under pressure, with grains visually collapsing to zero scale where needed. This is not part of the simulation solver — it is a Geometry Nodes solution designed to support the effect with more control.
We are also working on letting a few grains slide down through Geometry Nodes, so the whole result feels more unified and visually consistent, as if it were built in one continuous system.
This is the stage where technical refinement starts shaping the final character of the preset — not through spectacle, but through small decisions that make the behavior feel coherent and grounded.
