Thank you to our Industrial Engineering Technology for showing off their final projects of the year! IET offers a technical certificate and associate of applied science degree option. Several IET classes are offered in a hybrid online format. FHTC also offers Industrial Electricity and Industrial Wiring classes in Spanish for multilingual students. High school seniors and juniors are also eligible to apply to this program.

Who is ready for our next Employee Spotlight? 🤩 This week's Employee Spotlight is all about Graphic Arts Technology Instructor, Tamara Toelle.
Tamara's favorite part of Graphic Arts is teaching the next group of Visual Identity Specialists and Information Designers. Most people's first impressions of a business are their logos and signage. From where and what we choose to buy, to the instructions for emergency equipment, it's all designed and printed by someone in the Graphic Arts field and it's exciting to see where the future is going.
Tamara started her instructor roll at Flint Hills Technical College this last fall. Outside of work, Tamara likes to go thrifting and checking out garage sales for unique treasures. She enjoys working on projects in and around her home with her family.

It's time to recognize our Dental Hygiene students!
The students take multiple licensing examinations each year. Last week when our power was spotty, they took the ADEX, the clinical exam they are required to pass to get a dental hygiene license. 16 students took the exam, and all of them passed!
The ADEX examiners only needed to add one session, and our students completed the exam in one day. Everyone at FHTC was so helpful and worked very diligently to make the exam possible for the students that day.

🩺 It's International Nurses Day, and we have to shout out to our incredible first year Practical Nursing Program! Real-world applications and clinical experiences prepare Practical Nursing students for a rewarding career working to prevent illness and restore health.
FHTC Students will learn to give skilled compassionate care in structured care settings and will be prepared to take the NCLEX-PN exam upon graduation. Since Fall 2021, the overall NCLEX pass rate for first-time test takers from the FHTC program was more than 98%.
