One year ago, we had the privilege of lighting up the skies above Guernsey for the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day 🇬🇬
It was far more than just a drone show.
Standing alongside thousands of islanders, hearing the stories, feeling the emotion in the crowd, and helping to mark such an important moment in Guernsey’s history is something we’ll never forget.
Drone technology is often associated with innovation and spectacle, but projects like this are a reminder that drone shows are best when used to tell stories, honour history, and bring people together in a genuinely meaningful way.

On the season finale of Meet the Exhibitors, we hear from @htscreative , specialists in designing and delivering complete staging, structures, and technical production solutions for live events across the UK.
At #EPS2026, HTS Creative is collaborating with @flightshows on the UK’s first public indoor drone shows designed specifically for a live event setting. The performance blends aerial choreography with a fully time-coded lighting system, programmed in-house on an Avolites D9 and synchronised precisely to the drone movement.
Visitors can experience the live demonstration at stand C93E, one of the largest stands at the show 🔥
150 drones lit up the sky over Scarborough to celebrate the city’s 400 year anniversary. The show was flown by the incredible @flightshows team, with creative support from @wowdrone_animations on the UVify platform.
The story built around one idea: honoring Scarborough’s cultural and historical identity. At the heart of the show stood Scarborough Spa, a landmark that shaped the city’s character during the Victorian era, hosting concerts, gatherings, and becoming a symbol of Scarborough as a true seaside destination.
Opening with the Spa set the emotional tone for the entire performance, connecting the city’s heritage with its future.
