This deeply saddens me. I feel genuinely heartbroken for the employees and passengers of Spirit Airlines. While many have viewed Spirit as an unreliable airline, it was also a home—one that launched and shaped the careers of so many in this industry.
It provided an affordable and efficient way for countless people to travel, and its impact shouldn’t be overlooked. Spirit had a meaningful journey, and their efforts can’t be dismissed.
To all Spirit employees, I truly hope everything works out for you. It’s encouraging to see other airlines—both low-cost and major carriers—step up and support during such a difficult time.
