Well, that definitely didn’t go as planned… but that’s what happens when you’re testing and shaking down a bike in the middle of one of the hardest races for these off-road Sportsters—the Biltwell 100.
The bike ran solid until Mr. Red Sportster decided to ram into the back of me… 😂😂😂😂 that’s racing. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ After that, it was all downhill. Broke my clutch lever, my shifter, my rear brake, and lost the master link clip for my chain…
Still managed to finish 100 miles. Safety-wired the chain link together and it held. Left it in third gear and limped it the rest of the way… smiles, and Miles not lap times..
Some love and respect is due:
Thank you
@aka_beetle for coming into the shop and helping me prep this bike last minute—everything you touched held out through the whole race.
Secondly, I’d like to thank
@crowperformance . I spent a lot of time on the side of the track, but when I was moving, baby, I was moving—hands down, the best suspension in the game. This video is not sped up. This is real time. Everybody was moving!!!
Also, thank you
@adrianlopez and the
@losermachine crew for coming out and pitting for us, and for supplying me,
@b_rad_dlc , and
@btvandon with some badass moto gear.
And to
@livethegnar —you were kicking ass out there. Thanks for always picking up the phone and helping us out with whatever you can. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Also, big thanks to our
@washedup_racing family—you guys rule. Thanks for the tacos and the fuel line.
And last but not least,
@ogmark_marksauto —I know a good carb guy that will help you out in a pinch… best in the game. Congrats on first place, enjoy it while it lasts 😂🤜🏻🤛🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Also, big thanks to
@rustybutcherracing and
@biltwell for giving people like us a platform and a place to race..❤️🤜🏻🤛🏻🤘🏻
