Exchange students experiencing Prom! It’s very interesting learning about formal dances in other countries. Does your school in your home country have a formal dance? How does it differ from here?
These are interesting questions to learn when you host an exchange student. Great students can come through any program, but for host families it is extremely important to choose an exchange program that acts with integrity. The students in the photos were placed in St. Louis by either AFS or World Heritage - two programs that treat host families with honesty and respect.

Today I ran the TCM Get in Gear Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Communities Advancing Prosperity for Immigrants (CAPI).
The past few months of fundraising for their food shelf has been a very rewarding experience that I was glad to share with my friends, family, CAPI staff, and every one of you who followed and supported my journey!
This time has also been very challenging. A few months ago I was diagnosed with a tumor on my kidney. Having undergone surgery, it took me weeks to start walking normally again. MilesForCAPI and the thought of helping feed communities in need motivated me to keep going. I couldn't be more happy that I did...
With your help and encouragement, MilesForCAPI has raised $1,200 as of today, feeding over 18 families for the duration of a month. This is real impact.
As an exchange student, this experience showed me the community spirit and solidarity that best describes Minnesotans. I hope that this journey has been as rewarding for all of you who followed it as for me ❤️
