ARTIST HIGHLIGHT: TANTŌ b2b FLEX ARIANI @tanto_music @flexariani Tantō is the latest project from a producer and DJ with over 20 years in the game. Known for his deep roots in bass culture, Tantō brings a fresh but seasoned take on UKG, breaks, jungle, and DnB. This new chapter is a tribute to the sound system ethos: raw, rhythmic, and relentless. Flex Ariani is a TV hoarder and occasional music-maker based out of Greensboro, North Carolina. His music aims to incorporate his love for classic dance records and a focus on environmental storytelling; updated with modern sound design and sound system experience. Kicking off this year with something a little different! I have the pleasure of joining good pals @troubadirt & @pillarofsoundgso hosting an art show at @etc.gso Feb 7-8! And we’ll be rounding it all off with a killer React lineup (TBA!). I tend to focus more on the music with this project, but I’m looking at this show as a great opportunity to showcase some of the visual experimentation I’ve been working on, consisting of manipulated VHS tape and live capture feeds, working to really create an immersive feeling in the room. But you’ll have to see it in person to get the full effect ✨ Feb 7- 6pm-9pm (artist q&a after) Feb 8- 5pm-8pm followed immediately by REACT (Big love to @rationalsoul_ for the tee in pic 1 it’s the best shirt I own go buy his merch)
