Alabama voters will head to the polls on May 19 for primary elections, while Republican lawmakers, meeting in a special session, consider redrawing congressional district lines after a major U.S. Supreme Court ruling.
State election officials said Monday that primaries will move forward on schedule, noting preparations are well underway. They emphasized that altering the schedule now could cause widespread voter confusion.
In addition, the National Day of Action will take place on May 16 at the Capitol in Montgomery from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Let your voice be heard, stay informed, and show up for your community and future generations.
