Even before children attend prekindergarten, they gain from experiences that help them enter school ready for kindergarten. Florida’s School Readiness Program offers financial assistance to eligible low-income families for early education and care so they can become financially self-sufficient and their young children can be successful in school in the future.
Now is the time to make sure your VPK Program has a qualified administrator for FAST Star Early Literacy. Check out the Division of Early Learning’s VPK FAST web page for training requirements and registration details.

If you already read to your child for at least 15 minutes a day, here is another tip – spread the minutes throughout the day. From reading the cereal box to the toothpaste tube before bedtime, the minutes build up fast and so will their language skills!
