Today, Rancho Cordova and its partners signed an agreement to advance K to Career, a workforce-focused effort within the city’s broader AI & Robotics Ecosystem. The goal is to bring education and industry together to explore how training, skills and workforce needs can better align in AI, robotics and semiconductor industries.
What makes this especially exciting is who is at the table alongside the City of Rancho Cordova: HMCI, Nvidia, Solidigm, Sac State, Folsom Lake College, Folsom Cordova Unified School District, FarmGPU and SMUD, all working together to shape the future workforce.
The K-Career effort is an example of how great things happen when a city partners with visionary AI companies, educators and private businesses to take the first step toward creating an AI and semiconductor workforce pathway anchored in Rancho Cordova.

Where Learning Takes Root!🍇FLC celebrated the opening of its new Instructional Vineyard at the El Dorado Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 6. Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, the hands-on training vineyard will provide students in the Viticulture and Enology program with real-world learning experiences while helping strengthen the region’s wine industry workforce.
The celebration brought together members of the college community, industry partners, donors, and community supporters to mark this exciting new chapter for the program. Guests also toured the Viticulture classroom and viewed recent student projects following the ceremony.

FLC and @sutterhealth celebrated the opening of the new Instructional Healthcare Hub at the Rancho Cordova Center on April 29. Made possible by a $2.5 million investment from Sutter Health, the upgraded facility features advanced medical training technology designed to prepare students for high-demand allied health careers through hands-on learning.
Community leaders, partners, and guests gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new space, highlighting the power of partnership in strengthening the region’s healthcare workforce and expanding access to career education opportunities.
