Last night I attended the
@britdiversity Awards
what an inspiring evening, surrounded by individuals who share the same level of passion, if not more, for driving meaningful change.
We witnessed some of the most impactful people being recognised, and I was grateful to be sitting amongst some of the biggest changemakers in the UK.
I rarely share what I do ouside of flying At Virgin Atlantic. I co-chair the VALUED NETWORK along with
@jonndookie , we spend hours thinking about what’s next for us as a company and what we can do better. I’m constantly looking at how we can make processes easier for all our colleagues. Often, network chairs are forgotten, but in that room, I was surrounded by so many of my peers.
@diversityriley has made this possible for us.
@junesarpo OBE I have to give you a personal thank you. Seeing a fellow Ghanaian 🇬🇭 woman from London sharing her story was incredible. DEI has been under attack for a while, and I was glad someone finally shared the stats.
@lennyhenryofficial YOUR LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD SPEECH 😭🥹
@katparsons_kp also spoke about how her role as a mother fuels her passion, and as a mum, I completely relate. My love for Matteo keeps me going and pushes me to fight for a better world for him. We also had
@officialblue perform at the end what a show.
The passion, the drive, and the purpose behind this work cannot stop. DEI may not be “fashionable” for some companies anymore, but the shift and the priorities have not changed for us.
