AKC Round 1
KZ - Preston went fastest by 2 tenths in a few heats, a brake problem in the final hurt his start of race pace and ultimately lead to an error putting us out of the race passing for second place. Charlotte made constant improvement across the weekend finishing P12 in the final.
KA2 - Up and down weekend. Both Harvey and Connor showed promising pace. P5 in the final for Harvey while we had pace to fight for the podium if the heats went a little better. P19 for Connor after some misfortune throughout the heats that doesn’t reflect his speed
TaG - Good heat race pace for Sparkes scoring consistently in the top 7. Rossi struggled with some driving standards in the mid pack. Some rough driving in mid field put the boys back in the final coming home P22 and P25, not a good reflection of the pace we had throughout the weekend.
KA3J - After being top 5 all of Thursday and Friday, Kalbfell lost all pace once we put tyres on for qualifying. We changed everything and it didn’t change our pace at all, after using 3 sets of tyres in practise and being fast in all conditions, we can only put our lost pace down to something out of our control. P31 in the final.
Mini - Both Benji (C12) and Mason (C9) had their AKC debut. Benji having an awesome run through Qually and heats to put him self in the top 15, a good drive in the final finished him P12. Mason showed awesome pace all weekend, lots to learn with race craft, but a solid P13 for his first AKC event.
We have a fast team this year and should be fighting for podiums in all classes. The season has just started, we will come back bigger and stronger at round 2 💪🏽

Benji Arscott took the win in Cadet 9, Harvey Cooper drove to a massive 8.4 second lead in KA2 to take the win, paired with a P2 in KA3 Junior. Sachen Smith won the Saturday final in KZ2 in his second event in the class. Saturday qualifying was a Flatout 1-2-3 sweep in KZ2. Aiden Anderson had a break through weekend to secure his first big podium, setting purples during the final driving through the field to P2.
