Had a great time this weekend at Best in Texas! Looking forward to the World Championship match in September. This weekend showed me a lot of areas I need to focus on and sharpen up in preparation.
Here’s a little twist on the PRS barricade: one shot from each position for 10 shots total. I started off slow and steady, but after a miss, I backed off even more to make the correction and get the wind call figured out. Once I found it again, I was able to pick up the pace while staying smooth and finish the stage in time.
My main focus moving forward will be speeding up my transitions and eliminating unnecessary movements and adjustments. The goal is to get on target faster and cleaner, giving myself more time to execute deliberate, methodical shots.
NRL Freestone Hunter this past weekend was a blast! The weather was much nicer than last year’s, but the wind definitely showed up in a big way. This course was challenging and different from any other hunter match I’ve shot before. These are always a blast!
My first day was rougher than I’d hoped, but I came back on Day 2 and had six solid stages that brought me up to 28th overall and earned Top Lady.
Thank you, Taylor and Clayton for putting on such a unique match,
and for the amazing food!
