A quick community update 💛
An electrical fire occurred in the market @yawdieq on Wednesday during the early morning hours this week. The most important thing: everyone is safe.
While there was some damage and lingering smoke, we’re actively working through next steps with care and intention, prioritizing safety and transparency for our vendors and members.
We’re deeply grateful for the outpouring of support, messages, and concern. This space was built on community and moments like this remind us just how strong that community truly is.
We’re giving away FREE tickets to one of the hottest nights in Nyc and all you have to do is tap in with the Flatbush Central Caribbean Market community.

Located inside Flatbush Central, the Caribbean marketplace, this spot serves gourmet Jamaican sliders that truly deliver.

Their lineup was incredible, but those plantain fries stole my heart…. They were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely worth a Queens-to-Brooklyn trip.

We tried everything from jerk chicken and fried chicken sliders to coconut shrimp and my top pick, the jerk cheeseburger. The jerk lemonade brought a spicy kick I loved, and an off-menu Rum & Craisins sorbet with sweet and salty peanuts was the perfect surprise.

Between the chill vibe and the music, this is one spot you linger at without even trying.
