This one’s for our stylist friends! We put some casters on this sit/stand desk so you can use it as a height-adjustable shooting surface instead of stacking apple boxes or breaking your back bending over all day.

Blackout shades! Some of the most frequent questions we get are about blacking out the studio. Even though everyone loves the window light, sometimes it just doesn’t work for what you’re shooting. Two clicks and 15 seconds and you can black out our whole studio. Super easy, super fast, super dark.

We’ve got a huge equipment catalog on site here reserved just for our studio rental clients to help you adapt to anything that comes up during your shoot.

Check out a quick 60 second tour of our studio! We’ll be doing some more in depth looks at some of the features over the coming weeks, so if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, let me know!

Our summer special is over, but we received a lot of positive feedback about it and have decided to make some changes! We’ve upped our threshold for medium/large productions from 10 people to 15 and reduced the overall cost a little bit. Check out the new rates on our site, or swipe through the images to check out the new breakdowns. We’re also continuing our test shoot promo – book 3 or more consecutive shoot days and we’ll give you a free test day to shoot some personal work.

Come shoot with us this summer! We’re offering up some special summer pricing discounts now through August 31. Save up to $600 off our studio rentals. Our Large/Medium/Small production rates are being reduced to $1800, $1200, and $800 respectively (they are usually $2400, $1800, and $1200). So, if you have a project coming up and want to try us out, now is a great time to do so!

The Aputure LED units in our in-house rental inventory are a great option for photographers who are expanding into the motion/video world and want to ease their way in with equipment they already know. Come try some out during a test day at flash. Check out flashsf.com/test for more info out about test rates!

One of the biggest frustrations we had with our old studio was the fact that we were on the 2nd floor. Load in was time consuming, elevator size was limited, and there was definitely no way to shoot a vehicle inside. Not anymore! Now load in couldn’t be easier and we can finally handle car shoots. It’s a game changer for us and something we’ve been looking forward to ever since we started building out the new space. Also, if you have a Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 check out @chiefproducts #carphotography #automotivephotography #studiorental #photostudio #commercialphotography #sfbayareaphotographer #cycwall

One of our favorite things about our new studio is the overhead lighting. We used to have “daylight-ish” fluorescent tubes at our old spot. They were about 5000 degrees Kelvin. The new spot has tunable linear LEDs that can be switched between almost exactly 5600k and 3200k or anywhere in between. So whether you just want the ambient to match your modeling lights, or you want the ambient to match your strobe temperature, or if you’re shooting video and want to use the house lights as fill, you can do it all. Come check us out and book your next shoot at FLASH!

Always an interesting day here at Flash. Sometimes we give lighting advice, sometimes we design and 3D print parts for @seamless_content_co
