Second-seeded Derryfield handed undefeated top-seed Pembroke its first loss of the season, 57-41, to capture the 2026 NHIAA Division II State Championship on Saturday afternoon at the University of New Hampshire. The victory marks the second title in program history for the Cougars and their first since 1998.

No. 1 Pembroke built a 12-point halftime lead and held off a fourth-seeded Pelham rally to advance to the Division II championship with a 47-42 semifinal victory Wednesday night at Exeter High School
The Spartans opened the game with a dominant first quarter, outscoring the Pythons 12-4 to establish early control. Pembroke extended its advantage to 22-10 at halftime before Pelham mounted a comeback effort in the second half.
