💦 Boiling method: Clean toys with soap and water to remove surface dirt. Place toys carefully into a pot of boiling water. Boil your toys for 5-10 minutes. Carefully remove toys and allow to air dry. For glass toys, you can place a washcloth or silicone mat at the bottom of the pot, to prevent the glass from hitting the hard bottom while boiling. Do not use this method with electrical toys or toys with porous materials.
💦 Dishwasher method: Clean toys with soap and water to remove surface dirt. Place toys in an empty dishwasher, on the top rack. Do not use dishwashing soap. Run the dishwasher on a normal or "sanitize" cycle, if your machine has that. Do not use this method with electrical toys or toys with porous materials.
💦 Bleach method: Clean toys with soap and water to remove surface dirt. Create a 10% bleach solution (1 part bleach to 9 parts water). Either spray the solution liberally on the toy or soak the toy, if it can be submerged. After 10 minutes, wash the toy with soap and water a few times to fully wash away the bleach. Allow to air dry. Do not bleach toys with porous materials, as it will degrade the material even faster.
💦 Be careful when assessing your toy's material. Cyberskin, or TPE/TPR toys, are often labeled as a "silicone blend" which is *not* the same thing as 100% silicone. Most fleshlights are cyberskin and cannot be boiled or put through the dishwasher. Same thing with jelly or translucent toys. These toys will all melt if you try to boil or run through the dishwasher. Porous toys should only be washed with soap and water.
❌ Some sex toys are made out of toxic materials, which we will have to cover in another post. TPE/TPR toys are considered to be "safest" option for porous toys, meaning they generally aren't known to leech toxic chemicals. However, the same thing cannot be said for the other porous toy materials.
There's always money for war and destruction, but never food, housing, childcare, education, or healthcare. In a time when billionaires and tech companies are making Florida their home base and profiting from death and war, we must make it known that we don't want billions of our tax dollars to fund war in Iran, or Venezuela, or Cuba, or any other country. We want autonomy for ourselves and the world. We want every body's basic needs met. We want Reproductive Justice.
Reproductive Justice is not possible without sovereignty for our bodies and for the nations of the Global South. FAN believes our mission for abortion access in Florida is tied to the struggle for global liberation.

-Speak out against U.S. global aggression and imperialism. Fight back against the manufactured consent pushed by the war machine and help your loved ones do the same
