PIRENEICA🥈
3d 20h 50min
2025 – maybe the hardest year of my life so far
It started with a big breakup, a nervous breakdown, 8 weeks unable to work.
I didn’t know where I stood – or who I even was anymore
Still, I tried to keep everything and everyone together
September ‘25.
I was simply glad to get on that plane to Nice
Glad I even made it there – for a long time, I wasn’t sure if I would
From Nice to Menton
Just a short ride on the map, but a huge step in my head
At the start: physically fit
Mentally? Unsure if I’d make it through the first night
My goal was simple – hold on as long as I can, and try to let go at the same time
Five days, no weakness in my mind
My comfort zone was outside
Every night in the bivvy, every day on the bike – pure peace
And yet, when I reached the finish, no big emotions
No tears, no euphoria – just calm satisfaction. Maybe a bit of numbness
And then came the question:
What happens when I’m back home?
Silence still scared me
Not even two weeks later – my 36th birthday
Another flight. Another adventure.
This time: Pirenaica – through the Pyrenees, with two friends
A new mountain range. A new chapter
Preparation? Almost none
I looked at the route one day before the start – pretty naive
But I was tired. Burned out
Overwhelmed
No expectations, just a quiet curiosity
I rode into the night – alone,
with the thought of discovering something new.
Hardly met anyone – few riders, few crew members.
But when I did, I needed to talk.
I’m a quiet person, but human connection matters to me.
Matteo captured some of those moments.
At the finish line: friends, exhaustion, peace.
Not physically tired – emotionally drained.
But still hungry for adventure.
After one rest day and a few welcome drinks for my riding companions,
I decided to keep going.
Back to Barcelona.
1700 km in my legs. 1700 impressions in my head.
Two thoughts stayed with me:
Was it worth it?
And what comes next?

I only managed a third of the HT550 route before I had to give up due to food poisoning. It’s really disappointing for me, not because I gave up, but because I’d been looking forward to it so much – I’d been talking about it for months and had been preparing for it for ages.
But Scotland didn’t let me down: four seasons in a single day, lovely people, breathtaking scenery and an extremely challenging route.
A perfect test for anything that’s meant to be rainproof.
I’ll be back – I promise!
thanks to all of you ♥️

its time.. its time for my hardest challenge so far.
highlandtrail550 , one of the most stunning events.
self supported ofcourse.
what do I expect?
- hard weather
- wet feet
- hike a bike (a lot of this)
- rocky trails
- remote areas
- many new friends
this event is special in many things, its filled up 50% by women.
this event doesn‘t have media support.
I‘m nervous, the weather forecast is ok, but its cold as fuck at night. that means also that sleeping will be not a real rest.
fingerscrossed for the next days. Hope to take some pictures during this ride.
I‘m here for the nature, for the adventure. be fair to everyone, keep the real spirit alive.
thanks to all my partners to make things like this happen

New chapter
From now on, I’m supported by @maxxistires.de .
For me, good equipment isn’t a luxury – it’s the foundation. When I’m out for hours on gravel or standing somewhere in the middle of nowhere with bikepacking gear, I need to trust my tires. Grip, durability, reliability – that’s what matters.
I’m proud of this step.
The motivation for the upcoming adventures is bigger than ever. More miles, more nature, more pushing limits.

Fabian Wurm - @fl.ip - left CP2 at 5 am and rode the final 330 km // 6,200 m+ non-stop, reaching the finish late at night, about 7 hours after Adrian. He was glad to have chosen his mountain bike—despite the long stretches of tarmac, it proved the right tool for the more technical sections of the route. His final climb was the flight of stairs to the hotel room, where he enjoyed a well-earned rest. The next morning, buffet breakfast had never tasted so good.

Alps Divide 2025
What does it take to conquer 1000km and 33,000 metres?
A good mindset, good equipment and the feeling of freedom.
I finished the Alps Divide, I was never at the limit, but I was at peace with myself. I was able to enjoy myself, had some wonderful moments and would have loved to keep going. In hindsight, this was one of the most valuable things for me - it was an enormous burden on my own shoulders. Doubts, insecurity, fears.
The smile is real!
